Tipsy Goose Barrie is a straightforward spot that leans more toward a casual sports bar vibe than a formal restaurant setting. Located in a plaza off Hurst Drive, it’s the kind of place where local groups might gather to catch a game, enjoy some lively conversation, and share a meal without fuss. The interior is functional with plenty of TVs, making it a good fit for those looking to combine a laid-back dining experience with the energy of sports on screen.

The menu showcases a range of comfort-driven options with a few twists—think hearty plates like New Orleans Jambalaya, Chicken Alfredo Pasta, and a variety of wings that tap into classic pub flavors with a local flair. Items like the mussels and the boneless wings paired with fries have been highlighted by visitors, adding to the approachable, familiar feel of the food. Portions are generous enough to satisfy, and the kitchen seems flexible enough to accommodate personal tastes, as some diners note how the chef adapts dishes to preferences.

Service tends to be friendly and attentive, though some visitors mention newer staff getting their footing. The atmosphere isn’t polished or trendy, but that works in its favor for those who want a relaxed night out without the pretense. The presence of live music on occasion adds a nice layer to the experience, creating moments that go beyond your typical sports bar routine.

The crowd here ranges from sports fans and local regulars to families, especially during early dinners or quieter weekday evenings. It's a place where comfort food and casual drinks meet without a hefty price tag, so if you’re after a fuss-free meal with robust portions and the background noise of TV screens or live bands, this suits just fine.

Best times to visit are early evenings or during sporting events when the energy picks up but it stays manageable—not too crowded, allowing for relaxed conversation. While some find it less stylish or modern than other dining spots around Barrie, the honest execution of pub-style food combined with the social atmosphere makes it a dependable option for locals seeking a familiar and unpretentious meal.

We went for an early dinner. It's not a fancy place, more of a sports bar, lots of TV's. We enjoyed our meals and the service was good. I had a roast beef sandwich with fries. Nice tender roast beef and the fries were tasty and crispy. My boyfriend had a pulled pork sandwich which he said was delicious. The prices are very reasonable. We will go back.

Great restraunt. Little nervous when we went in on their decor but the food was very flavourful. Waitress was new and showed a little but very friendly and certainly did a good job. Definitely recommend the Indian flavors. If I could suggest perhaps move the smokers and tables outside the front doors so you do not have to walk through it.

We had the New Orleans Jambalaya and the Sharon Beef Burger. Both were extremely tasty and the chef made it as per our taste. The place is not crowded and the waitress was new but very kind. Ask for Shan there and he can suggest you the best dishes to try. Would recommend and go again.

Ended up at Sharon House last night, not really expecting much... throughout our years of living here, it's changed hands and names so many times I've lost count and we stopped going ... but I think this time we may have a winner!! (Fingers crossed). Not only did they have a KILLER band last night, but the food was pretty darn good! Not JUST pub style food (although that's basically what we ordered). The entrée options go beyond that. My daughter had the pesto penne and loved it. I just had the cauliflower bites and a drink, just to watch the band. Our friends had fries and mozza sticks. All good. Server was extremely friendly. Place was dead, but it was Kempenfest. They need to have that band back, I have no doubt the place would be bursting at the seams. Pat Riel Band all the way!

Wow! It was my best friends first time in ontario and we were not sure where to go. We found this GEM! blown out of the water! As a bartender myself Kayla was not only fast but knowledgeable, charismatic and it's like she knew what we wanted when we wanted it. Best service I've ever had! Will be back and will recommend it to friends! I hope to see Kayla again because she was beyond amazing! Thanks so much for the amazing first impression, service, and food!
